Check the listing and the account
Compare the seller's history, location, listing language, and images. Ask for current photographs of the actual watch and clarify condition, included parts, and return terms. Reverse-image searching can help identify reused photos, but it cannot prove ownership.
Verify the watch itself
Request the serial through a safe process and compare it with the invoice or service paperwork. Run a theft-status check and keep its scope and date. Arrange independent authentication if the price and risk justify it.
Keep payment inside the agreed process
Use the platform's official checkout when required by its terms. Treat requests to move to another app, accept an unrelated payee, or pay a deposit to hold the watch as questions to resolve before proceeding.
If the seller blocks reasonable verification or the documents conflict, stop. A marketplace listing is only an offer; you do not have to accept its terms.
Screen the Watch Before Paying
The serial and dated result belong in the same file as the marketplace listing.
